theksmith 5,778 Posted October 8, 2025 (edited) took the trailer out with a couple friends and their new trailer last weekend, everything worked great! we were camped Wednesday afternoon through Sunday morning. the new battery bank was down to 66% when we left. that was with running the Starlink Mini about 10 hours each day. we also ran the heater a little each morning (it's propane, but the electric fan uses a fair bit of juice). the bed fix also worked well. we're finding that the grey tank is our limiting factor so far. it was registering "full" when we left. the black tank was at 2/3rds and the fresh tank still had 1/3rd. we had each taken a Navy shower one time, did dishes several times, and i rinsed my feet off a couple times before bed (dirty from wearing flops). next time we're going to try using paper plates to reduce the amount of dishes, and any rinsing off will be done with the outside shower. we're also going to change the shower head to one with multiple GPM flow rate settings. theksmith 5,778 Posted October 8, 2025 (edited) another minor fix was needed. after about 24 hours of the fridge being on, the temperature indicator would switch to #2 and be blinking. per the manual this indicated a fault with the freezer fan. i could actually hear the fan making a weird noise each time it shut off. i took everything apart to verify it wasn't just rubbing on a wire or something. i also then found that when the fan was plugged in it made a very high pitched whine, even when not turning. i couldn't find the part number that was on the fan anywhere online, but did find what appeared to be the same fan physically and with the same connector, though it had a slightly lower current draw rating. i figured i'd give it a shot. 2 of the connector pins were also swapped compared to the factory one, but that was easily remedied. anyway, my replacement worked fine all last weekend and proved that it was indeed just a bad fan and not a problem with he control board. i'm still going back and forth with Lippert/Furrion email support trying to get an exact replacement (to keep as a spare). Curly 1,317 Posted October 8, 2025 You might look into a portable gray water tank. We picked up a used one off of Craigslist for $40. It was like new. It holds 11 gallons, so half of our gray water storage in the trailer. ob1jeeper 849 Posted October 9, 2025 There is little doubt that grey & black water tanks are the limiting factor for the length of a comfortable stay for most RV's. jgaz 750 Posted October 9, 2025 Kris, another product you might consider to help water usage with dishes is this: I have had good luck with this stuff the last couple of years staying in NPS housing at the Grand Canyon. The provided housing can be hit or miss as far as hot water availability among other things. This stuff works well with a scrubby sponge, a paper towel and a quick rinse. I use paper plates as well but my Cup, bowel, and lexan utensils, glass cooking dish etc. all get either boiled in the microwave or a boiling water rinse before the next use. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
