theksmith 5,879 Posted October 15, 2025 check this out: "Some Jeep Hybrids Bricked After Disastrous Weekend OTA Software Update"... "After installing the update, owners reported their Jeeps suddenly losing power, lighting up a bunch of dashboard warning lights, and coming to a stop. A message would appear instructing drivers to put the transmission into park, after which it refused to shift back into drive, leaving them stranded. SonoranWanderer 720 Posted October 30, 2025 TL;DR: Jeep issued an OTA that pushed bad telematics-box (Uconnect/TBM) firmware that broke its messaging with the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP). That “incomplete communication” caused the HCP to watchdog-reset; when the HCP resets while driving, propulsion drops out. It only affected late model year 23 and newer 4xe. Those of us with older 4xe's were unaffected. (yay!) Photo courtesy of @David P
