We bring the burgers & dogs for a potluck lunch, plus there's the infamous cut-throat white elephant gift game, and the delicious cookie contest! We'll be at the same spot as last year (near Lake Pleasant) and the short/direct route is rated easy and suitable for any high-clearance 2wd. There's also a *new* optional moderated rated 4x4 trail ride before the party. Important Details: This is a Potluck event! Please see the sign-up list below and let us know what you can contribute. Subject to cancellation or postponement due to rain. Pets are not permitted at this event anymore! The amount of new people, smells, sounds and food present can make even the best pets misbehave, so no pets at this particular event. Comms on GMRS channel 19 (462.650 Mhz) Bring cash if you'd like to get an ORP shirt or hat! Don't forget your chairs! Meetup / Trail Info: Please be on time, or you will get left behind! Option #1 - Short/Direct Easy Ride to the party: Meet @4x4tographer at 10:00AM in the gravel parking lot beside Wild Horse West restaurant. Click here for a map... Please arrive fueled up and ready to go! Note there is a gas station right next door. This shorter route to the party is via a sandy wash, doable by most any high-clearance 2wd truck or suv. Option #2 - Moderate Trail Ride to the party: Meet @theksmith at 9:00AM at the Boulders OHV staging area (far end, near the pit toilets). Click here for a map... This trail is doable by a stock high-clearance 4wd rig with a 4-LO transfer case option and aggressive A/T or M/T tires, such as a Wrangler or Tacoma. Other rigs might need a small 1" or 2" lift. Suitable solid-mounted front or rear recovery points are required. Trail is fun and scenic, hilly, rutted in some places requiring articulation, and has one short steep climb. White Elephant Game: Bring a wrapped gift to participate! $25 suggested gift value. 4x4 or outdoor/travel related gifts, or just something fun, but please bring something you'd actually love ❤️ to win! Take a number for each gift you bring. The highest number goes first by opening any present. The next highest number may steal the first gift or open another one and so on until all the gifts are open. A gift may be stolen no more than 1 time per round, and is completely frozen after it's been stolen twice (i.e. it can't be taken from it's 3rd owner). Enter the Cookie Baking Contest! Bring your homemade cookies! Everyone please try all the cookies and vote for the winner. The cookie with the most votes wins a prize!!!
