scottL 164 Posted February 1, 2018 My first registered vehicle was an '86 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 coupe. Wish I never sold it, which is why I got my '89 now. Faded paint and whiskey dents included My friend Britt helped me with bodywork. Any of you body prep folks remember the now illegal K200? Initially wanted to clear coat over primer I liked the color so much. Also added 87-93 Ford mustang tail lights & 16" '91-'93 "Pony" wheels Then modifications happened: 1993 Ford Lightning 351 truck heads, Crane 1.72 roller rockers, Mac equal length shorty headers, Offroad H pipe, 2.5" Flowmaster exhaust w/ 3.55 gears & CAI to the motor Ford racing springs, subframe connectors, lower A arm G load brace & aluminum driveshaft Finally, My dad's buddy Javier Munoz painted the car and I sold it 2 weeks later:(
Azoutlaw480 0 Posted February 2, 2018 Sweet mustang man! The Dakota pic where I almost rolled it was due to poor decisions with whiskey as well! Ive since reformed though! Was very scary. You cant tell in the pic but the only thing that kept us from rolling over the edge was my ball hitch that got lodged into the dirt bank and roots. That jolted us to a stop and sent us flying inside the cab!

theksmith 2,937 Posted February 2, 2018 Jason, my 03 Dakota was also my first 4x4! i first started taking it on forest roads for camping, then some dirt trails, then one night i got semi-lost out in the Rolls OHV area... well not lost, but the only ways i could find to get out were hills that i considered death-scary at the time (especially alone at night). i finally ended up taking a quad trail out and scratched the crap out of it. it was still nearly brand new at the time and nowhere near paid off. everything buffed out thankfully, but i sold it not long after for something less expensive that i wouldn't be afraid to wheel - the XJ! dzJeepChic 1,878 Posted February 3, 2018 reviving this thread because with all these posts on the site lately about XJ's, i was reminiscing about my old one - should have never sold it! That was a sweet XJ and I've often thought I should have bought it. I love this thread! Thanks for bringing this back! Diane, awesome pics. Love, love, love the style! Awe, shucks. Thanks Jason

I'm going back through old pictures trying to fix the photos in my 1st post in this thread, and I ran into this one of your white XJ. This was the first time we met you & Aimee, at Canyon de Chelly. I remember I was really impressed with your XJ.
Goose 3 Posted March 15, 2018 I traded in my scooter and got a real bike. It's a Yamaha WR250F which is their Enduro bike, then I added a street legal kit (mirrors, brake light, horn, etc.) so I can drive it on the streets. I bought this instead of their already street legal version; WR250R since this has a little more suspension (12.2 in of travel), which is good for my fat azz. Here's the bike on shake down run in Bulldog Canyon: Of course it's now even harder deciding what to drive/ride when I walk out into the garage.
