What did you do to your rig today?

Recommended Posts

Added this little upgrade. Genesis dual battery set-up. Install took about 2 hours plus one more to reroute all my add-ons. A little pricey (about 1k w/Batts) but it adds to the piece of mind when we're out by our lonesome.

During the process of the power upgrade I became a little disenchanted by the number of wires I've pulled through the fire wall. Solution! Found this nifty power distribution block, pulled all the leads into the cab to land on the block. Feed the block with a 4ga cable ( need to do a full load check and size a fusible link at the source). Thinking about doing a aircraft style breaker panel, where to put it and keep it out of the way and still accessible is a challenge for later. Still have a few more wires to land with room to spare.

Of course, and shrink tube and solder and anything else I could dig up to make it a one and done job.

One?? Did it have a bad experience?

it had a long life so it got to retire... of the original five 35's, three had been replaced at various times over the past year. then when the other 2 originals got down to like 25%, i stopped rotating one and and kept it in the spare location, so this was the last of the originals that was seeing pavement and it was just finally worn down to the nubbins!

Finally got the mud terrains swapped out! It seems like I'm overworking my engine now that I can hear it.

Been meaning to post a pic, the new tire set is wider by a tad compared to the MTs but SOOOO much quieter.

I posted this on my facebook page yesterday. A really funny guy put this card on Clifford at the Home Depot on Northsight in Scottsdale.
