MzPriss 134 Posted May 26, 2021 My new ride is living up to her Jeep reputation. Don't even have the real plate on her yet and she got a new serpentine belt today. Good news is, I think I can do it by myself the next time, and have a spare just in case.
Lichen 97 Posted June 14, 2021 (edited) I began ripping out the National Luna Duel Battery system today. Gremlins had invaded it leading to battery discharge. I just throw the charger on the 11 year old yellow top when it gets low. Edited June 14, 2021 by Lichen

I found a youtube video explaining that the dash readout should be unplugged or turned off whenever the car sits for a couple of days or it will put a drain on the battery. Duh. I did, but I screwed up something and the whole system shut down. I decided not to remove the system, just unhook it for now. Both batteries now holding their charge. It's too hot to screw around with it now. how do you know the National Luna system was acting up and not just a tired old battery? i mean 11 years old?! in Phoenix!?!?

Lichen 97 Posted July 7, 2021 I finally installed the duel voltage gauge that has been sitting around for a good year. It's the one that K-Smith installed. It probably took him 10 minutes, but I stretched it out to a week. It works! (sometimes I amaze myself). I'll let it sit a day and see how much the voltage drops. If it does, I can just pull it out and unhook the ground wire.
dzJeepChic 1,874 Posted August 25, 2021 The A/C in Creampuff wasn't blowing super cold so George got a can of A/C Pro and added some refrigerant. It was easy and worked great! Sorry no pictures.

Since the aux battery is not connected to the alternator anymore, I have charge it on deep cycle setting about once a month. Best un-mod I've ever done. Curly 457 Posted August 28, 2021 I am working on the interior of a Wagoneer. Today was carpet day. Look what I found when I pulled the shoulder belt from the floor!!! The stitching in the seat belt was GONE. Just gone. No signs of critters or anything else. Luckily Devon is pretty handy with a Sewing machine, so she was able to save it. The other belt was just fine. 2
