Did you guys cross Soda Lake? Or did you just get to the monument and head back?

Due to the slippery, snotty condition of the mud at the monument, we ended up back-tracking and going through Baker.

I'm new to this group, but this thread caught my interest since I am planning this same trip in April. How deep was the water crossing at Afton Cyn? This trip will be on dual-sport bikes and am curious if we'll need my swim fins.

 

I did this about 3 weeks ago, and the Mojave Wash terrain had really changed since the heavy rains in Dec.

18 inches max when we crossed. George:cool:
