for those of you that have been following along with my P0369 (intermittent camshaft position signal) issue... it's still not really resolved.
i've been running 0w-40 oil instead of 5w-30 and that keeps the problem at bay if i change my oil before 5k miles.
the last time i had the engine apart, i installed a new exhaust cam phaser to see if that was the problem. then on a recent trip up the I-17, i was getting very close to 5k on this oil change and sure enough the code and limp-mode symptom resurfaced yet again.
attempts at fix thus far: cleaned camshaft reluctor wheel, new camshaft position sensor, new wiring and connector from sensor to PCM, new PCM, swapped phaser actuators between exhaust/intake positions, new exhaust phaser.
at this point, i've replaced everything that could be related to the camshaft position signal except the actual camshaft (which includes its pressed on reluctor wheel), and the oil control valve inside the phaser.
hopefully i don't have to take anything apart anytime too soon, but if i do have the valve cover off for any reason i'll replace the oil control valve next... mainly just out of curiosity at this point, to see what the final real fix is!
