  1. Very nice! Looks like a great time. I really wished I had the chance to visit Anza Borrego before I leave. I guess it gives me a reason to come back to Southern CA.
  2. Awesome job! That is so great to pass the responsibilities of our hobby on to the next generation so they can enjoy the hobby!
  3. Great pics everyone! Looking at the weather Saturday night, I'm a little bit glad we bugged out!
  4. I think we should all chip in and buy George a pair of pants for the next trip!
  5. Due to the slippery, snotty condition of the mud at the monument, we ended up back-tracking and going through Baker.
  6. Anyone who has a dog named Bear is cool in my book. Great to have met you and your father!
  7. All credit goes to my wife, Kristy. Please forgive the panoramic shots... Getting ready to roll. Crossing the "Mighty" Mojave! Afton Canyon "Snow" on the lake! At the Travellers' Monument A couple from inside the lava tubes
  8. I'm thinking the end of April (but I'm not sure and will have to see what's going on). If I do, you're more that welcome to stay a night here... I swear it's safer than Barstow!
  9. Hey, crap happens, especially when you're off-road! It's a shame it happened but nobody got hurt!
  10. We ended up deciding to bug out yesterday afternoon. Kristy was not feeling motivated after the lack of sleep due to the wind Friday (After further inspection, the tent fabric had holes in it from where the wind forced sand through it!) and wasn't ready for another night of possibly the same. being as how we only live an hour and a half from the Mojave Preserve, we thought we'd hit the eastern half of the trail when the weather is better (and we have a new tent). We both really enjoyed meeting you! Sorry you had to head home too.
  11. Made it home. Sorry that I didn't have a chance to say good bye to everyone either. Thanks for a great time, even with the wind last night!
  12. Question: do my wife and I EACH need a waiver form, or can we both be on the same form? It's not an issue in any way either way you wish. Thanks, Matthew
