  1. HAHA Heya George! Yea fell WALKING off a cliff since I still do not have a truck haha!
  2. Well I wont bog down your thread with details, but just the usual. Two jobs, planning a wedding and doing some minor renovations to the Apt have kept my social life to almost nil HAHA. I still dont have a truck, I am most likely buying a family type car for the wife, so hopefully within the next year I will be back at it. My biggest motivation is going on another trip with ORP! The one night I spent in Mojave with ya'll was very enjoyable so I am looking forward to doing that again!
  3. I also use the VIA's on camping trips. The French Press is reserved for at home. My only issue with the VIA's is that it does not totally mix with the water, there is always a bit of grounds left over. Mocha is the best tho! If you search online, you can find them in bulk for about .80 a cup
  4. It was more of "in the moment" purchase. it was my first overland ralley and its easy to get caught up in the moment of how awesome everything is. There great cups, but agree far to expensive. I actually use them at the office instead. I can drink a cup of coffee for an hour without it getting too cold. And K is correct, there is almost 0 heat transfer to your lips even with 160 degree water in the cup.
  5. Clifford is still the coolest XJ I have ever seen!
  6. Yea, with planning a wedding, and a few work relaed trips.. my year is pretty much bust. Im tryin to grab a ride to OX12 but even if I find a ride, the fee could hold me back. The good news, like I said.. By the end of the year I should have all the money saved for the wedding, so a truck will be right after! Ill still be around, I am sill lost as to what i want to buy.. tho I do have it narrowed down to less than 5 vehicles now HAHA
  7. Totally missing my truck right now... Took a few months break from The expo and ORP.. was crazy busy at work, and it was so sad seeing all the trip reports and awesome photos. Good news is I think I should only be out for just this year. I hope to purchase a new rig next year and get back out there. Miss all the awesome folks here at ORP!
  8. Totally random but I had a dream last night I was out on trip in truck and woke up feeling nice. Until I realized that I sold it a few weeks ago... So long Frontier!
  9. I purchased for 12,500 - Posted it on CL for 11,500 which was high but wanted to weed out the usual CL low ballers. Got offered 10,500 and went with it. There is now a pos beat up $800 civic sitting in my parking spot but it has a/c 4 doors for the kids and gets 28 mpg before a tune up haha
  10. SOLD! Marriage first.. then will be looking for either a Jeep, Tacoma, LC! Not in that specific order either haha
  11. Ooops sorry for spoiling the surprise K, and look at you how modest.. didnt even need to pull the ORP vote to secure the W.
  12. Half for her, half for me. We had a talk and I asked her on a scale of 1-10 how important getting married next year was and she said 9.. I also tried for two other opportunities at work for to advance but have been unsuccessful. So this was actually the last choice. Plus once the wedding is done, I should have gotten a promotion and will buy another truck.
  13. Yea deff a bummer. After going to the overland rally I was crazy hyped about makin some trips. Gonna borrow a buddies motorcycle tho and make a run to the grand canyon next year tho. Hoping that holds me off til I can afford another truck
  14. Hate to do it, but I must. Getting married next year and I need to pad the savings account. Shes a great truck so I am hoping to send her off to a good home. Shes at 64,580 miles as I type this, and is my only vehicle so the mileage will vary a few hundred depending on the length of time it takes to sell. I am posting it on CL also, but for a higher price to deal with low ballers and general CL scum. Club Frontier Price $10,000 (CL is going to 11,500) Unfortunately I do not have any previous maintenance history from the original owner, however, I purchased the truck with only 36k miles and she was in great shape. Below is the info you'll want to know. Any questions jsut PM me. Also, I noticed some feathering of the front tires, and have come to the conclusion that the shocks are most likely bad. They are factory and 8 years old. I will replace them before the sale OR we can lower the price to make up for the cost of new shocks. It has been in one accident where I was rear ended. I had the frame checked and there was ZERO movement. All parts were replaced with BRAND NEW Original Nissan parts, and repainted. This being the bumper and tailgate. I have a Camper shell that I will include, as well as the paint matched Tonneau cover. 2003 Nissan Frontier S/C CC 4X4 long bed Engine: K&N CAI AMSOIL 5w30 All belts replaced at 55k miles Fuel filter spark plugs cap/rotor replaced at 55k miles New Knock sensor and all required gaskets replaced 58k miles Suspension: Torsion bar crank up front 4x4parts rear lift shackles 4x4parts upgraded TRA's 4x4parts Bilstien Steering stabilizer with idler arm brace Front/Rear diffs were just drained and filled with Royal Purple from 4wheel parts (Have receipt) And please do not mistake the pics for anything else but camping trips, the worst this truck has seen is the moderate trails at Hollisters hills. She spent too much time on the freeway. Brakes: HAWK LTS Pads ATE Dot 4 Gold fluid Wheels/Tires: SVE 16 in Factory Wheels 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/T Truck also has a Class III receiver hitch and shackle mount, 2 Full size spares that will come with the sale. Truck is Located in Fremont, Ca Not that I expect any sales from across country or the state, but arrange shipping on your own. I have 3 jobs and NO time to help with that very sorry. I can take a deposit and hold it for you if you plan to drive long Distance. I have no doubt it can make any drive. I just took her to the Mojave road and back this year.
  15. After seeing them up close, would deff choose this brand for my first RTT. Pricey, but deff a long term investment so its worth it.
  16. Wow just noticed they have a "transit bag" for the 43 qt now.. but at $118 I will pass. Would be nice to insulate my fridge a little more tho..
  17. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  18. Soak in Milk is crucial! Kills that fishy taste! Nice pics Borrego!
  19. Oil Change Checked air in the tires, was kinda low.. must be the cold.. Put the touneau cover back on since its going to be raining every so often.
