  1. sorry I have to work this weekend. I'll have to miss this one
  2. Mud wasn't to bad, I mean we hit sections that got us dirty but nothing like what you hit in the asbestos mine. Tires all stayed on top of it. It was a fun run
  3. It's usually a fun easy trail. I'm on the crown king run but if your up for it I think the weekend after is good.
  4. found it on onx as Bulldog Wash. I'll see you there sunday.
  5. 2744 N Meridian Dr, Apache Junction, AZ 85120 Is this the trailhead? Not sure what's up with my phone it won't pull up the map from the link. Maps open but it's at my house not where the trail is.
  6. Didn't we meet at a circle K then head out? The link for the trailhead won't pull up on my phone
  7. Are you planning to put one on the calendar this year @WILL E? We had a lot of fun last year on this.
  8. I just noticed we have trips planned out for 5 states this year. CA, NV, UT, CO, and then we always have AZ. As for Jeep badge of honor we are hitting all 3 in AZ, one in CO and one in CA. Should be a fun year.
  9. This should be a fun trip. We'll be doing the Jeep Badge of Honor section first. From what I understand this is just a graded dirt road that brings you up to some good views. Then we'll turn around and go all the way back to Cave Creek. The first part is easy but the second part from I-17 to cave creek is Moderate. There is a small (maybe 10 feet) section of rocks to go over. Also we cross the riverbed 3 or 4 times and ride in it for a small section. It's usually dry. I'll cancel if it's flooded. I did this from cave creek to I-17 as the first trail in my Jeep a while ago. I've not been on the Jeep badge of honor section, just going by what is said on alltrails and the Jeep BOH app. I'll do a scout run just before we go to make sure there is no flooded crossings. I don't mind a foot or so, but 3 or 4 feet I don't care to drive in. If you're a Jeep-owner, this is an official Jeep Badge of Honor trail. Jeep recently expanded their BoH offering in Arizona, with 3 trails represented (Backway to Crown King and Schnebly Hill are the other 2). If you're unfamiliar with the program, click here. (Copied, pasted and modified from ryan's CK run. Thx Ryan) Trail Difficulty: Moderate Vehicle Recommendations: skid plates recommended on important areas such as transfer-case & gas-tank, sliders/rock-rails, Off road tires. 10. Come escape the summer heat for a trip from Flagstaff down to Sedona. We'll end this in Sedona so that you can if you chose spend the rest of the day there. This run is a lot of fun with great views. They do close this trail when it gets snowy or muddy. It's also closed nightly and opened again in the AM. We will be fine when we run it. Last part of the trip we will see some of the Pink Jeeps from the Pink Jeep Tours. If you're a Jeep-owner, this is an official Jeep Badge of Honor trail. Jeep has 3 trails represented (Table Mesa and The back way to Crown King are the other 2). If you're unfamiliar with the program, click here. (Copied, pasted and modified from Ryan's CK run. Thx Ryan) Trail Difficulty: Some sites list this trail as Easy, some list it as Moderate. I've seen a minivan go as far as the pink jeeps do. (That's the hardest part of the trail.) However, I would not recommend doing it in a minivan. Vehicle Recommendations: High clearance required. Off Road tires required. Low range is recommend to make it easier going down some of these hills. Not required you'll just use more brakes. If you have a 4x4 vehicle with off road tires you should be fine. 11. Here is the few pics I took this time. This was a fun and easy trip.
  12. Sorry Marty I think i'm going to have to pass this time. I still need to deal with my tire. Otherwise I would love to go.. just have no spare right now. Catch it next time.
  13. Thanks for the trip. It was a fun trail and an easy ride with great views.
  14. The permit itself says it must be signed and in my possession. My phone is a note comes with a pen stylus That allowed me to sign it. Since my phone has it as long as I don't forget the phone and can pull it up I meet the requirement on the permit itself. The site itself just says must be on hand but says nothing of a paper form. I mean as long as I can present it, it is on hand. I think I fall within the requirements. I mean it's almost 2023 who still kills trees? I can pull it up without internet access.. I'll give it a try.
  15. i don't have a printer was going to print to pdf and keep a digital copy
