Where do we get the land use permits now to be able to wheel? If I recall I previously had a few different permits based on the national forest area. Not sure how that all works these days and what I've found online on AZ sites is that a 4x4 doesn't require a permit but an OHV does. That clears it up. lol

Built a little (54" x 72" box) offroad trailer over the past two weekends. Got it painted yesterday and this morning. Independent suspension, used my original Jeeps wheels and tires. Made fender flares to match my Jeep. This thing is a tank.

We’re doing some cleanup and I found a bunch of vinyl decals. Didn’t want to throw them out so they’re free to anyone who wants one. Quantity available are what is shown. I have a ton of non Jeep related as well.

February 3/4 weekend I plan on installing my Metalcloak lift. Way back when there were always lift parties and a bunch of people got involved. Last few Jeeps I’ve custom built my suspension so I wasn’t a quick think. They were trail rigs. Not daily drivers. If anyone is in the southeast valley and wants to stop by let me know. I’ve got the full lift and full armor plate system to put on.

Just a fun little project adding to my Rhino addiction.

Added the Teraflex spare relocator and license bracket. I don't like how far away it sits so I'm probably going to replace it with the Alpha mount to tuck it tighter to the body.

Got a lot accomplished yesterday cleaning so got to tinker with the Jeep today. Removed the front bumper that I didn't like and made a few tweaks the Westin winch mount to work with the GoRhino bumper I picked up from @4x4tographer. Winch ready to nestle inside the GoRhino Measured it all out and cut where necessary to clear the winch. I'll eventually make a solid plate for the front of the bumper to replace how I've got the fairlead mounted now even though it's solid. Mounted up and loving it. I'm going to put my 20" light bar on top where those two slots were from the GoRhino winch mount since it obviously can't go inside the bumper anymore. :) I'm also going to be putting in a curved corner on the outer edges at the front to tighten the gap up. That's 100% my OCD getting to me.

I’ve got a Midland 275 mounted in the Jeep under the dash and have a Baofeng UV-5R handheld. I’ve also got a couple small handheld Midland radios. I used to carry a bunch because not everyone had one. I haven’t run CB in 5 years. I used to have Ham but let that license lapse as it was only used by a couple people I knew.

I replaced the Haynes column with the relevant info from the JL Wrangler Forum. Still doesn't seem to match up. For instance: Front Lower Control Arm (Axle) - Mopar says 190ft-lbs. JL Forum says 140ft-lbs + 145* So lets assume then that 140ft-lbs + 145* is 190ft-lbs then Rear Lower Control Arm (Axle) - Mopar says 185ft-lbs. JL Forum says 100ft-lbs + 60* I don't see how 100ft-lbs + 60* could be only 5ft-lbs less than 145ft-lbs + 145* I think I'm going to just go with the recommended torque specs for the bolt in use based on Industry standards and go from there. lol

It rocked but she went to dual 10". It's is incredibly solid and protects the sub since it's down firing.

I have been reading for a long time about JLs having a lot of Death Wobble issues even when they are bone stock. For me in the 26 years of owning Jeeps that always been either an alignment issue, worn out joint or a torque issue. A friend of ours has a 2019 JL with only 11k miles on it. It is bone stock and has always had Death Wobble. It's been to the dealer multiple times and they say it's all to spec but it still happens. They brought it over yesterday and I started checking the lower control arms first and none were above 100 ft-lbs. Started lower to see where it was at and all the lower and upper control arms were at 80ft-lbs, and this was 2 days after being at the dealership for the 3rd time. Weeks ago after getting my Jeep and seeing all the random torque numbers flying around on various forums I called a buddy of mine who is a tech at a dealership and he gave me a list of all the torque specs he has. Some of the specs are nuts, especially on the rear. So I kept digging and found the following info from various sources all stating these to be the factory JL torque specs. Some are so far off it's scary. Does anyone have a JL Haynes Manual? I'm curious to see what it says. I've always gone off the Haynes manual since my first TJ. I have the manuals for TJ and JK but not the JL yet. I'm going to be doing my Metalcloak lift later this month and it says to torque to factory specs but according to this table below, these are all Factory Specs. lol This led to lookup the recommended torque specs for various bolts to see what might line up. Seems very little matches the recommended bolt specs. Keep in mine for the chart below that these are the bolt diameters, not the Wrench/Socket size like the above chart. Most of the bolts on the Jeep suspension are M12-16. Anyone have any info to add to this?
