    2001 tj

Ran it empty to pull more power. It was in the TJ running on 12V in the garage, not plugged into the Jeep. The nights are still cool; I'll be interested in seeing how it works when nights are hot. I have recharged only using AC. I'll need to test how fast it will recharge using DC. And another configuration will be plugging the frig into the Jackery and the Jackery into the TJ DC. I went with the 500W due to its size. My next challenge will be where and how to secure it. Maybe technology will get a 1000W down to the size of the 500W. As I said, time will tell as I use it jn more extreme conditions.

I have procrastinated on installing a dual battery system in the TJ for years and years. And, I'm glad I did. Amazon had an $80 off on the Jackery 500, so I bought one. So far it will run the Engel 43 refrigerator(empty) @ 34°F for over 24 hours and still have a 40% charge. Only time will tell if I made the right decision.
  5. Please remove me from the attendee list. Jeep is not Trail Ready. Thank you.
  6. Steering issue has popped up and I cannot make the trip. Permit available, if they are transferable.
  7. I use a Samsung TabA, wifi only, 10.1 screen. I added a 256 card just to store Gaia and all the data. Also, I have on my Samung phone 256 expanded memory just for Gaia. They sync up with no problems.
  8. As today, the Jeep is in the shop and is up in the air when I will get it back. So feel free to bump me if someone wants to be added to attendee list. Regards
  9. The old P456 code popped two weeks before the TJ needed emissions checked. In the past years, I have been able to reset the code and get it to pass emission test. Not this year. Took it in and got $700 estimate for repair. The mechanic told me to take it in and get it tested. After it fails, you go in to the emission office and ask for state financial assistance for the repair. Filled out some forms, took the TJ and forms back to the mechanic. The repair is guaranteed by the state. Net out of pocket was $100. The state will pay up to $500 to their approved mechanic shops. This mechanic shop even took the TJ through emissions check for me. Have a great Thanksgiving.
  10. I am striking out again .... please remove me from the attendee list. Best regards
