  1. LOL....Slowly growing...the shell was on order for a month and finally came in last week
  2. Yep diagnose 11 years ago and been cancer free over 5 years... We really missed the old LJ and when my son bought a 21 JL we were hooked all over again!! Love this truck. Thanks for the welcome back
  3. Currently working on hard mounting the compressor in the back. Picked up a Quadratech JK tailgate shelf used and mounted in in the bed. Compressor is a Puma 3.6CFM 1.5gallon and is just strapped in for now as I need to get power to the bed and get the plumbing run. I still use the truck to haul wood for my woodworking so I wanted to keep this off the back floor. when I get custom or exotic rough cut it usually come in 8 or 10' length so I need all I have!! Still a long way to go
  4. Been a member a long time but due to cancer I was out of Jeeping (per Oncologists request) for an extended period but back in now. Decided not to start over from scratch so bought a partially built Gladiator and am continuing it. So far it is lifted on a Mopar 2" lift with Teraflex IR adjustable front arms and synergy adjustable trackbar. 37x12.50R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Tazer mini to align everything. Smittybilt Stryker front bumper with skid and Warn EVO VR 12K winch with synthetic. Rugged GMRS45 radio with stealth antenna and ASRE shell. Full underbelly on order as well as other stuff and as with any rig...the build goes on!!!
  5. Had a Blast....Thanks Guys, good to meet ya'll and a beautiful trail!!!
  6. I was planning on getting the Midland 275 but had questions and Customer service was dead wrong on their answers and really rude, called Rugged and they were super helpful and got me straightened out. So I spent the extra money for the piece of mind that I could get help if I needed it. So far its a nice rig.
  7. Jeeping sure has changed in 7 years!!!
  8. Just installed a Rugged Radios GMR45 45W unit, got my license and ready to try it out, always had CB before

  10. Sorry, I didn't make it clear...Was not looking at using airbags, Dan is looking at doing the same as you did with Air Shocks. The kit I said is on Amazon is the WR17602225 remote kit you mentioned as I agree that having the ability to fill on the fly is more than worth the cost. The questions on air pressure are due to the on board air system we will install in Dan's ZJ. It is a larger Puma compressor and I am looking at the long term and whether it would be easier to use a small compressor and tank for the shocks that will not draw much power or make much noise rather that have that Puma have to fill every startup. As for my questions, yes, you hit them perfect and I thank you. I am not spending my money on this build any longer, but I still want to make sure we do things efficiently but not throw money in un-necessarily either . He has a cool build going, no need to screw it up now!!!! Thanks again
  11. What is the highest pressure you expect to use on the shocks and what is their max pressure. Helping Dan with his build and looking at all the variations of doing this. Amazon has the Firestone kit for $97 and I found a PDF for the installation that answered some questions on switching and parts. Says it comes with 30' of air line, did you come close to using it all on the LJ?
  12. I can help on the dual battery. Have a hydraulic crimper, heat shrink and can get lugs and all.
  13. Thanks, with the weather cooling down, I hope to get back to working on it. Been working on the Goldwing lately tho, trying to build the flagstands on it for the escort stuff
