dzJeepChic 2,897 Posted June 4, 2010 That's so cool! I'm not sure if I've seen that one or not, there are some nice rock formations all along there though, right? Nice shot! d
XJINAZ 0 Posted June 5, 2010 Found your site this year researching our trip there. We ended up going the weekend before your trip. We got rained out, only stayed one night at Tule Well. The second night was spent in a hotel in Fortuna. That's how it goes some times.
dzJeepChic 2,897 Posted June 5, 2010 Found your site this year researching our trip there. We ended up going the weekend before your trip. We got rained out, only stayed one night at Tule Well. The second night was spent in a hotel in Fortuna. That's how it goes some times. I remember being concerned about that rain and it's affect on our trip. Namely, I was worried about getting our group through 'La Playa' AKA 'The Moondust' area. When it's dry it puts up the nastiest dust you've ever encountered; sticks to everything it comes into contact with. But when it's wet, it turns into the kind of mud that sucks vehicles in and won't let go. We'd heard reports of Border Patrol trucks stuck up to their doors in it. Our trip turned out perfectly, we had a blast and nobody got stuck. Sorry to hear yours got cut short! We'll probably go again in March, and you're welcome to join us. d
