multi-day: March, 15th to 17th: San Rafael Swell

From march, 15th to 17th we are planning to do day runs in the San Rafael Swell area. Depending on who might join, we have things in mind like Horizon Arch and Kimball Draw, Black Dragon Canyon and Jackass Benches, Cane Wash and Fix It Pass, Devils Racetrack, Eagle Canyon or others.

chris love this area and I would like to go. seems to be a lot of driving to hit Vermilion Cliffs and then this one. that said

Jim, you are right, it´s a lot of driving. We plan a loop from the Vermilion Cliffs via Moab to the San Rafael Swell and stop for two days in Moab. I just did not post this up here in the forum. This would make a nice 'roundtrip'.

 

For the Swell there might also show up some friends of us from Kingman, AZ.

Chris i am going to the Easter jamboree in Moab starting the week before Easter I'm not sure how I am going to work this all out but I'm certainly going to try.

As an additional trail we plan now the 'Swell Cure and Cabin Fever' trail. It´s originally an ATV route, but some parts are possible with Jeeps. It leads to some outstanding overlooks over the Swell.
