Kingman Trails w/Chris D. March 2017

We spent the last weekend running trails in Kingman. The trip was posted on this forum by Chris D. and were lead by stockjeep (Gwayne). Several other members made the trek north and several friends of Chris from other clubs were there as well. The trail rides ranged from wild to mild, and all boasted amazing scenery. Even though we got home Tuesday afternoon, I'm just now getting my pictures sorted out! So far I have the best of day 1 uploaded; here are a few of my faves, and all of them are here:

The next day was Sunday. I went to visit my family while George went on the trail ride on Hole in the Floor Trail. It's a fun trail that goes up and over the Cerbat Mountains in Kingman, passing some cool mining remains along the way. Since I wasn't there G had to drive, spot people if needed and take pictures! You can barely see it, but that is the actual 'Hole in the Floor' for which the trail is named. It didn't used to be fenced off, so you had to be on the lookout for it so you wouldn't drive into it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next will be Monday's run on Pass Canyon.

As Kris said, we ran Pass Canyon on Monday, George and my last day in Kingman. This trail starts out in a Golden Valley neighborhood, and goes through the spectacular canyons and washes from there to Oatman, AZ. At several places we were able to see Laughlin, NV., Bullhead City, AZ and the Colorado River from the trail. This is by far one of the most scenic drives in Arizona. We had a larger group for this trail, we aired down when we got to the dirt road through the residential area near the trail head.

I want to give a huge thanks to ChrisD for posting and organizing these trips on Offroad Passport, and to Wayne & Gwen (stockjeep) for leading the trails! It was a fun group of people and all really fun trail rides. We really had a great time!
