Last minute, but it looks like 1 spot is still open. If so, we would love to come and have a fun day as our first trip out with both our new rig and with this group.

I got email from ADOT that highway 17 traffic will be restricted just north of Phoenix this weekend. Lots of heavy traffic expected. Please advise us accordingly. Thanks. @SonoranWanderer

We saw that too and decided to go up tomorrow (Friday) and spend the night instead of fighting traffic at 7am!

It looks like a closure effectively from Loop 101 to Jomax. Depending on which side of the valley you are coming from, I'd hit the 303 (west side) or Carefree Highway (east side) to get to north I17 and allow for a little extra travel time than Google Maps says for today.

In addition to Phoenix metro area closure of I17 (see previous post), beware than I17 may drop to one lane near Willard Springs (mile post 327) for the wildlife overpass construction.
