Project " My first Jeep "

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I am going to try to keep everyone informed with what is going on with the 2002 WJ. This project is sort of a passion of mine that I have wanted to do for my self for many years. I have a repair shop of my own and seem to work on everyone else jeeps but never seem to get around to my own. Soooo As a new years promise to myself I have started work on the jeep and will not stop until its the way I want :P

I spent many a night panning over ksmiths post http://offroadpassport.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5 about his WJ and I will credit many of my up coming additions to his work.

So since Mid December when I first started this, I have installed the Clayton 6 inch long arm kit , Bilstein 5100 series shocks , JKS front sway bar disconnects , JKS adjustable track bar

In the rear the Dana 35 was pulled and is getting a Ford 9 inch with 4.88's , ARB air locker , new spring plates , shock mounts and Wilwood Disk Brakes

Finding out the upper truss needs slight trimming to clear the gas tank

I had planned on building it as a go anywhere type of daily driver. I have so little free time I just want to be sort of sure that when I go out nothing breaks and ruins my adventure, I thought I would "over build" it a bit

I love when build threads begin with pictures of a trussed Ford 9" rear axle that will be mounted with Clayton long arms!

Must be nice to have all that space to move around in your garage:bling:
