Clifford: dzJeepChic's '92 XJ [ongoing project]

Recommended Posts

It's been too long since I last logged in to check this rig out and wow...nice job Diane! It's looking awesome!!

Let's plan to do a Freek Show article on the vehicle in our May-June or July-Aug issue. Cool? :)

Sure thing Frank!

Incredible build and great documenting. One of the better build threads I've ever seen. I love your XJ.

Great update. I like the flex idea.

Thanks you guys! d

Here's the pictures from when G gussetted the C-Knuckles on the front axle tube:

The gussets serve as reinforcement for the C-knuckles, which over time due to the torque of turning over-sized tires up rocks & such can bend upwards.

Clifford is sporting some new shoes and stylin' some fender flares (barely noticable in these photos as it turns out):

Thanks! Yes, those are his old wheels back with the tires I bought from a guy on here Wrangdangdo(sp?). George also recently installed a new steering gear box and Clifford has never driven better on the highway. I took him into town yesterday. I am super stoked to get him out on the trail tomorrow.

Looking good D, can't wait to see it in person. Gonna be sad when I sell his brother, lol.
