Thank you everyone, if anyone wants to know where that is, its called Chimney Butte in Colorado, just north of Four Corners on US 666. Not too far north of Shiprock in New Mexico. As you head north on that road you will see it on the East side of the road and Sleeping Ute will be on the West side as you make your way to Cortez. We got really lucky with the lighting being the way it was that day, here is another image approaching from the South, you can see lighting makes all the difference.

Bunch of Xterra and Nissan folks getting together to celebrate some homecomings of AZ active duty military who are anxious to do some wheeling. Hopefully there will be no ice top side, would need to find an alternate trail in the area to do if this is to be the case. One of the trucks is 4x2 and we thought this trail would be a good one for that truck but with the recent weather it may be good for no trucks. They are coming up from Tucson to meet us all just outside Superior to do the Montana Mountain loop on Saturday. I will be camping on the loop under Roblas Butte on Friday night. It was exactly 20 minutes from the Florence Junction(where the 79 meets the 60) to the camp site under Roblas Butte. I would build my own frame, beef up the suspension and add an exoskeleton on the outside, cage it in with built in rack storage on top. Most likely I will be building something from the ground up, buying components as I go. My finances of late are not allowing me to make any large purchases. All my money has to go right back into my business. Perhaps I can expand my business to trailers, that would be a great excuse to building my own rig.

I have been thinking of doing this but with a smaller trailer. Upgrading the suspension is going to be one of my mods should I go this route instead of finding a military trailer. Keeping my eye out for a teardrop that I could modify as well, but those are hard to find withing my budget constraints. If they are anything like the nut-serts used for Xterra roof racks, I would get the headliner off, locate these things and see if there is a way to strengthen their grip on your roof, when an Xterra nut-sert spins we wind up taking the headliner down and putting JBweld around the nut-sert to keep it in place. That is just short of replacing it, which requires the correct tools, a thing that looks like a rivet gun that is used to swedge the nut-serts into the hole. If the hole gets mangled you are locked into the JBweld option, which is easier and cheaper. Sometimes the nut-serts are placed under sheet metal stiffeners, these can sometimes be pried enough for acces or you can obtain a roto-broach or hole saw. If you use a hole saw use a sharp one. Get a tap and chase the threads of any of the nut-serts in question, any grit or dirt in those threads can cause major headaches so clean it out by chasing the thread with a tap and then blowing it out with a air nozzle. Good luck and keep a calm head, I have trouble staying calm when dealing with interior junk like headliners, it always angers me how that stuff is so overly complicated and overlapped resulting in what should be a 10 minute job turning out to be an hour or two long.
