If you have a torch, vice and a hammer you can bend it yourself. Put the material in a vice heat the area just above the vice jaws until red hot then gently persuade the steel to bend with the hammer.

You might be interested in what I have got my hand on today. I have already developed my first product on it and am ready to move on to more. Future products include, but not limited to, light cage, full replacement roof rack, bumper mouth bracket to mount lights in the bumper mouth, rock sliders, rear bumper, front bumper and a bed rack to mount either a RTT to or another roof rack.

Everyone should go to Chaco Canyon at least once, of course once that happens the second time will be assured. My wife and I have gone 3 times thus far and plan to return. There is more then just the what you will see in the canyon itself, there are hikes to nearby outliers and other outliers that have potentially interesting drives to and from depending on the weather. If the roads are washed out by the rains the trek can be a serious undertaking to the outliers. My wife and I ventured forth alone in the muddy washed out roads of that area against our own better judgement. If the rains come, and September is a good month for rain in that area it will be all the better in my opinion, as they are often short lived and bring out all the wild life and the colors. September is the best month for Chaco Canyon, everything is green and all the blossoms are out, temperatures are perfect, and the wildlife is still out and about. You could spend 7 days at this one area easily and still have more to explore some other day. Nearby places are the Bisti Badlands and Angels Peak, great subjects for photographers. I have never been to Ute Mountain Park ruins but I have been to the nearby Canyon of the Ancients and Hovenweep. The people who go on this trip who have never been will find themselves returning.

Thats a cool pic, I've only been there since the new one was built. This is the only time of year I have not been lucky enough to be there, would love some monsoon storm images of that area. Everytime I have gone out there I have seen Gila Monsters or some other kind of interesting wild life, unfortunately a lot of dangerous drivers as well. Most of them come speeding around blind corners on the wrong side of the road.

I was hoping to see the process where they put it back in the bag. That seems to me would be the hardest part, but I have no clue about this thing. I have an old canvas coleman tent I bought on craigslist for $100 and it takes about 5 minutes to set up in the dark when you know what you are doing, much longer when you forget how it all goes together because its been a year since you used it.

The night before I was to leave for Moab, the lock cylinder jammed. What not release the key and would not come out. The cylinder is supposed to come out when unlocked so you can spin the top handle and release the bottom handle from the slot in the container. Luckily Sierra Expeditions was having an event late into that night and I was able to get them to drill it out with a low RPM air drill and replace it for me. The locking handle is not a good design, the lower handle that is supposed to not turn while in the slot depends on a short squared off plane which would work fine if the tank was made of steel, but its plastic so a thief could still turn both handles at once and steal your gas along with a slightly damaged container. So even if the lock cylinder never malfunctions on you its easily overcome with a little bit of force.

Some changes to the X. New rock sliders, my latest design, and 6 new rims, all powder coated the same color as the roof rack. I also scored some upgraded shocks from a 2011 Pro4x to replace my tired 2005 S model shocks. Bought a RotoPax 4 Gallon container from http://www.sierraexpeditions.com here locally. I do not recommend the locking handle, get the regular mounting handles and a lock cable.

Truggy time

My wife and I stayed at Moab Rim Campark, it is located on the south side of the town looking down on the town rather then being in it. I would not like staying there if I were pitching a tent but if you get one of the cabins on the edge of the park looking down on the town its pretty nice, as the cabins are set away from most of the other parts and separated by enough parking lot area to dull any noise from other spots down to tolerable levels. You also get the best view from those cabins. This shot taken at 6:11am looking down at Moab from the fire pit side of the cabin.

Congrats, I will be up in Moab in late May, going to be fun.
