George thanks for coming out and helping me find the banging noise in the front of my jeep. I picked up Maddie from school we went over a bump no noise maddie asked wheres the noise I said george fixed the noise she said George can fix anything I said YUP thanks George

i only have stock lower control arms in my garage unfortunately but i do have some other stuff. let me know what you are looking for and i will check inventory. also; the shop who installed quick disconnects on my cherokee still has my old currie track bar http://www.moparsupercenter.com/currie-enterprises-johnny-joint-adjustable-track-bar-for-97-to-00-wrangler-pn-ce9120-ce9120-.html i just need to go pick that up and it's yours if you still want it. your custom reinforced heim joint jobber is pretty sweet though and i bet it works just fine.

 

thanks for the horns; they work great and i managed to mount them in front of the fender well so my new 33's won't rub on them! speaking of rubbing 33's, i like the way this guy cut his xj's front fenders: http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/build-my-99-xj-27241/ what do you think? i'll get started removing all the stock bumper ends today to see what i have to deal with. i need to be off-roadable again before willow springs!

I have that same expensive drill bit. Only used once for the track bar.

 

Also, YJ brake hoses will work on the XJ and give you about 3" more length. I replaced mine with Napa hoses for about $35.

We took the rear seat out because we wanted to build a plywood deck so we could sleep in -e! in bad weather or if otherwise needed. George took the rear seat apart, stripped the seat covers and foam which left the metal base and hardware. He used the sheet metal core as a stencil to cut the plywood and then removed all the hardware and mounted it onto the plywood.

On the way home from Thanksgiving at Peppersauce Campground, we stopped at Andrew's house (LetzRoll Offroad) and picked up -e!'s modified Pro-Comp control arms with new Ballistic Fabrication Joints.

 

George installed them today, everything fit great, and I took her for a test drive. She handles better at all speeds, especially 50, 52.5 and 55mpg where she previously experienced a slight wobble.

 

Here they are all pristine:

 

 

 

 

 

As you can see, the joints are on the upper end, rather than the usual front end of the control arms. This was Andrew's suggestion to keep the 'expensive' end from getting less creamed by rocks! After he installed them, he agreed; great idea Andrew, we like it!

 

Now -e! can stretch her little limbs out; let's go try them on some rocks!

Very cool. That guy is super organized! I'm not sure if I'd like sleeping on a platform level with the windows though? I already felt like everybody could see me when I slept in -e! and was wanting darker tint. Plus there's my LOW BUDGET thing. . .
