Yeah, but a friend of mine actually sat there and watched a ton of videos by these people, and she found a snippet where the girl thanks him for pushing her. Apparently she thought it was awesome, she just couldn't make herself do it. So, where you and I say he's a douche, she thinks he's a god or something. Weird. I know. Didja see, She almost got ahold of him just as she went over...............That woulda been an interesting end to the video. No doubt, he would have been surprised by that, right? George:cool: Bet you saw the jalopnik article, i read it too: http://jalopnik.com/5820104/are-ford-raptor-frames-too-weak-for-off+roading Apparently the drivers complained about ford's engineering of bumpstops in the Raptor's rear suspension because Ford wouldn't warranty the $765 frame straightening job. I know my cherokee (without a true frame), trusty Number 7, and even ol' Large Marge would not fare better (read: much worse off) after the abuse these Raptor guys put their vehicles through during an "outing drive fast down a gravel road/at speeds of 110+ mph" where "10 of the 14 raptor owners came back with bent frames." i liked how the jalopnik author describes Ford's off road ready truck: the Raptor is so pioneering there isn't a huge user base, and there's never been a vehicle meant for high-speed desert travel — the most destructive form of auto racing — with an automaker's warranty. But the best part of the article to me is the tidbit by one of the other 14 Raptor owners who did not bend his frame on said outing: If Ford fixes these, I will be surprised. Why? The trucks were driven past what they are capable of. You do not buy a GT500 and expect it to drive like a race car, why would you buy a Raptor and expect it to handle and take the abuse of a trophy truck?...While it was not a challenging route we took, we caught quite a bit of air, jumped the road, hit numerous G-Outs at faster than anything sensible, hit speeds off road in excess of 125mph (I did) and had a shit load of fun doing so. How were most of the bent frames caused? inherent weakness in the frame and over driving the truck. Is there mods to fix this for those of you who are scared? Yes. Drive slower in the desert and know the road you are driving. I am of the opinion Ford Raptors are bitchen & for the money, i wouldn't own any other full size truck.
