We'd like to join up for this one. Hopefully it would be a dog friendly weekend? We'd like to head up on Friday sometime, so if there is anybody we can tag along with, that would be great.

we're dog friendly as long as you're dog gets along with other dogs and kids! we will have a few small children and at least one other friendly dog there.

what area are you coming from?

Thanks!

Yes, they're dog friendly, and people friendly as well. They've been on a lot of Jeeping trips with us and are quite used to being around others in a group setting. Very social.

We're in the east valley just outside of AJ. Depending on how early we may want to bug out on Friday, we may tag along in the afternoon, or just decide to take off earlier and beat the heat on the drive.

Per Prescott National Forest Website:

Kaiabab and Prescott National Forests will Implement Fire Restrictions June 8, 2011

"PRESCOTT and WILLIAMS, AZ, June 3, 2011 - Officials with the Kaibab and Prescott National Forests will implement fire restrictions Wednesday, June 8 at 8:00 a.m. due to high fire danger. These restrictions are deemed necessary to protect public health and safety and prevent human-caused wildfire starts. On the Kaibab NF, the fire restrictions cover the Williams and Tusayan ranger districts only; the North Kaibab Ranger District remains in moderate fire danger and will not implement restrictions at this time.

Under the fire restrictions fires, campfires, charcoal, coal and wood stoves ARE allowed in developed campgrounds only. In addition, campfires are not allowed at the designated dispersed camp sites within the Prescott Basin on the Prescott National Forest. Metal posts identify designated dispersed sites with a number. The restrictions also limit smoking to within enclosed vehicles, buildings, or in developed campgrounds. Pressurized liquid or gas stoves, lanterns, and heaters that can be turned off are allowed."

So, we're good to cook on the grills as long as it's not too windy... d
