  1. Howdy, Phoenix here as well.
  2. Check out AZ-Ted's snazzy new Xoskel Roof Rack. You can click on an image to go to flickr page, then click again to see large on black.
  3. I have no idea about photoshop, have not used it since version 6. As a linux user I use mostly aps that run natively on linux. Everything I use, including the operating system, is free, except for Autopano Pro.
  4. Widest lens I have is a 24mm prime. To get wide shots I have to resort to software, Hugin and Autopano.
  5. Nikon D70s - cheapo 28-80 Nikkor zoom - cheapo 70-300 Nikkor zoom - 24mm Nikkor prime I use GIMP for photo editing, Hugin and sometimes AutopanoPro for stitch work, mostly Hugin. All done on linux.

  7. AutoPano is good stuff, I use it and Hugin because they both run on linux. Hard to remember which I used on which stitches. Its the next best thing to owning a wide angle.
  8. I was talking to William down at Sierra Expeditions today, and he tells me that the organizers of the Fourpeaks Cleanup are not going to be able to do it again. I messaged AZ-Ted (as he is known on many boards) who did a lot of the organizing for the Table Mesa Cleanup about picking up the ball on the Fourpeaks Cleanup. Instead of weighing one or two people down with all the organizational responsibilities, have those like Chad, and Ted who have done this and have the know how and connections form a group of volunteers and deligate some tasks, preferably to enough people who live in different parts of the valley so as to spread the load over many. Perhaps a meeting of some sorts to get the ball rolling. The sooner we can designate a date the sooner we can start hyping that date on all the different boards. I will do whatever I can, and hopefully we can get enough volunteers so this is not a huge burden on any one of us. The ornganizers of the Fourpeaks Cleanup have had 3 successful years and I do not blame them for wanting to pass the torch.
  9. I only use my windows box for software that requires it, do all my email and browsing on the linux box. I never have problems and if I ever need to reinstall I have my home directory backed up so that installation only takes a half hour and I am right back to where I was. No reinstalling software. That sofware COX gives you you can throw right in the trash.
  10. I was just talking to someone earlier about designing something just like this for the Xterra, there was a guy that showed up at goneMOAB this year that had this set up on his 2nd Gen Xterra and the idea makes a lot of sense.
