theksmith 5,778 Posted December 6, 2009 Wednesday, December 30th Desoto Mine - Near Cleator, AZ 4x4 Difficult - All-Day Trail Run Description: This will be a day run of the Desoto Mine trail, rated around a 3 or 3.5 out of 5. Probably not suited for any stock vehicle, other than perhaps a JK Rubicon. 33's, at least some some lift, and possibly a locker recommended. This is trail number 35 in the Wells book. None of us that currently plan to go have run the trail and therefore will be route-finding from the book + GPS, so please bare with us if we get lost Meeting location and time: Go north of Phoenix on I-17, take exit 248 west. Meeting spot is where the pavement turns to gravel (about 2 miles from the interstate). Be aired-down and ready to leave by 8AM please. We will head out promptly at 8AM! Important Info: Bring plenty of water and a lunch and snacks. Have a full tank of gas! Plan on a long day, we will meet early to try and get off the trail before dark, but bring plenty of food/water in case the unforeseen keeps us out longer. Anyone with an appropriately equipped vehicle and a few difficult trails under their belt is welcome to attend! Please sign up on this thread if you plan to attend.
