Hey Diane, It pretty much is one big loop. Like Kris said though, a lot of loose rock on the hills. Not a long trail though, 'bout an hour to hour and a half to run. I attached a map... TM-map-2010-1.pdf

Great trip, really enjoyed it. Glad the cows were able to lead us out of the valley... Here's some pics: Lost our trail leader so decided to follow the locals No one thunk to hook it to a Jeep Kris took the lead because of the aggressive tread on his sandals Many more at: Wildflower Run

Thanks for all the info folks, good write ups and information. I think at this point it may make sense to try out an entry level tent. I like the idea of the Coleman to get started at least. I figure if it gets used once or twice month, then I can make a better decision on where to go from there without having a lot invested into it. I still have to get a sleeping bag or two and some other things so don't want to go too crazy with all this stuff.

Okay, so I figure I'm gonna try this camping thing. Haven't done it for over 30 years and that was just in a state park with facilities, but figure I'd give it a try. Not sure what's recommend for our arid climate, more mesh or less. Not looking to spend a lot of money, but would want something decent, most probably a 3 person for the added room. Do you like a taller tent for the added height or that really doesn't matter. Also, looking at the shower/privy tents like the Outback privy. Do most folks use those on the trips or what does everyone prefer. Any questions or concerns I may not have though of?

That looks great. Not having experienced a full summer here, I might have to add this to the mod list.

Thanks guys, Diane just let me know which ones. I think you can save from the album, but if you want the full size versions, just let me know. Here is George navigating the 'not so bad' section: -

Hi Folks, would love to join you. Been out on a few easy/moderate runs. Have a Rubicon with 3" lift. Not looking to beat it up, so when you say difficult are we talking possible body damage? -
Thanks, folks. Yep, azscout is right, I meant to say west of the 101.

Hi Folks, Name is Dave and I'll be relocating to Phoenix next week from OH. I've been following your adventures after I found your site on AZVJC. Looks like you guys have alot of fun. I'm looking forward to checking out the trails and spending some time with everyone. I also enjoy sporting clays, when I can hit 'em. I've been to the Ben Avery range back in April and really enjoyed it, so I'll be headed out there again. Quick question, is anyone familiar with the Shea Rd area from the 101 east to just west of 51? Since I'll be working right downtown, I was looking for temporary housing for a few months until our home sells and figured that was a pretty decent area. Well hope to hit the trails with ya soon! Dave
