Offroad Passport 13 Posted August 2, 2015 5/21 – 5/22/2016: Happy Jack to Camp Verde: near Happy Jack, AZ: 4x4 Easy: Primitive camping Join us as we take a series of graded dirt roads from Happy Jack, AZ to Camp Verde, AZ. We'll start out in the pines at 9,500' elevation and end up in the Junipers at 3,150', camping somewhere along the trail. These back roads are generally well maintained so this will be an easy, relaxing trip suitable for most anyone. The scenery should be top notch as we'll drive into Mulligan Canyon, run alongside Jacks Canyon and cross through Brady Canyon before getting panoramic views of West Clear Creek Canyon and the Verde Valley. We'll also take a short side trip to the Apache Maid Fire Lookout Tower for a different perspective. Meet-up: 10:30 AM From I-17 Exit 306, take Stoneman Lake Road (FS 213) East. We will meet at the T intersection just after pavement ends. MAP HERE Driver's Meeting @ 11:00 AM NO SERVICES AT MEET-UP! PLEASE BE READY TO HIT THE TRAIL! Additional Info: Driver Requirement: This trail is suitable for beginner 4x4 enthusiasts. Vehicle Minimums: All vehicles are required to meet state legal requirements, (i.e.: current registration and insurance)Have functional seat-belts for each occupantMust have suitable recovery points front and rearSuitable for stock 4x4 vehiclesEach vehicle must have a CB Radio in good working order, ham radios are a plus CB Channel: 4 Ham Simplex Frequency: 146.46 MHz This trip is subject to cancellation or postponement if heavy rains prior or during these dates Attending: Rig Limit: There's a 20 rig limit (including leaders).
