  1. Thanx D... That may indeed be the name of that trail, but I think Nena called it something else when we followed her up there last fall to see the colors. BTW: Was a BEAUTIFUL drive to see the colors turning. For the life of me, can't recall the name she used... But in my advancing years, I probably have it confused with the name of the mine we went past too... Here's one for you...
  2. Looks to be one the trail that runs up from the airport out of Cottonwood, towards Potato Patch... (can't recall the names at the moment...)
  3. Correct... You sir are up...
  4. One day an Irishman, who had been stranded on a deserted island for over 10 years, saw a speck on the horizon. He thought to himself, "It's certainly not a ship"... As the speck got closer and closer, he began to rule out even the possibilities of a small boat or a raft. Suddenly there strode from the surf a figure clad in a black wet suit. Putting aside the scuba tanks and mask and zipping down the top of the wet suit stood a drop-dead gorgeous blonde! She walked up to the stunned Irishman and said to him, "Tell me, how long has it been since you've had a good cigar?" "Ten years," replied the amazed Irishman. With that, she reached over and unzipped a waterproof pocket on the left sleeve of her wet suit and pulled out a fresh package of cigars and a lighter. He took a cigar, slowly lit it, and took a long drag. "Faith and begorrah," said the castaway, Ahh "that is so good! I'd almost forgotten how great a smoke can be!" "And how long has it been since you've had a drop of good Ashmill's Irish Whiskey?" asked the blonde. Trembling, the castaway replied, "Ten years." Hearing that, the blonde reached over to her right sleeve, unzipped a pocket there and removed a flask and handed it to him.He opened the flask and took a long drink. "Tis nectar of the gods!" shouted the Irishman." 'Tis truly fantastic!!!" At this point the gorgeous blonde started to slowly unzip the long front of her wet suit, right down the middle. She looked at the trembling man and asked, "And how long has it been since you played around?" With tears in his eyes, the Irishman fell to his knees and sobbed... Holy cow! Don't tell me that you've got golf clubs in there too!:p:p
  5. NOW I am completely jealous... Am on Lake Erie chasing Walleye and Steelhead... T=Storms chased us off the water for the day... Hoping for better weather tomorrow...
  6. Welcome Dennis... See 'Ya on the trails...
  7. And I'm here to tell you that retirement is a pretty good gig...:D:D:D:D;) Congrats Karen...
  8. And I guess that would mean two things... 1- I might be a little on the crazy side... AND 2- that you're up Goose...
  9. Ken walked in front of the CJ as the pic was shot...
  10. You are close enough madam... Johnson Valley it is indeed... These two pics were taken on Wrecking Ball, but for all intents they could have been any one of the hammers that we ran that weekend... They're all pretty similar, and none of them what you would call "mall-rated"... Here's a group shot at the top of Wrecking Ball... Can you see OlBlue... PS: you're up...
  11. Welcome Lisa... SWEET looking JK...
  12. Negative... That is a Dry Lake Bed in the background... No river Valleys near this trail.
  13. Ah-HA ! ! ! ! ! NOW I understand what you were trying to say when you mentioned G was messing with your rack all day... And that um... You would get back to us with an update later...:D;)
  14. Have owned several over the years, but the one I am currently using for Lake Powell is a 1990, 25ft Wellcraft off-shore WAC (walk-around-cuddy) with a chevy 350-mercruiser alpha-one I/O, which I picked up in Traverse City, MI a few years ago. Cabin is large enough to sleep in and get in out of the weather when it turns snotty, yet not overly large either. The Pontoon would be fine for the trip to near Dangling Rope. One of our group has been going with us for the past 6-8 years and brings their 24 ft pontoon powered by a 4-cyl I/O. That thing can carry a TON of people and gear, just can't go at the pace the V-hulls normally go at, but we go for a bit then fish until they catch up, and then go again for a while... No hurries when on the lake... The kids like to run up & down the Hole-in-the-Rock trail, but for us old farts it's a bit slower and more strenuous. However, it is VERY rewarding once at the top, as the views are spectacular... from up there... Here's a few pics from Camp during a storm... Did I mention we sometimes go fishin' AND sometimes go sight-seeing... Cathederal Canyon...
  15. I am not aware of any slow-release ratchet straps, but that just may be my ignorance... I personally would prefer the T-bar method, using something like an el-cheapo boat winch, as you don't need much line-pull force to lift the top, just need to be able to control it's movement slow and easy...
  16. Correct-o-Mundo Senor Phil... Your turn... BTW: How you doing these days? Long time no-See...
