boy, I'm glad we don't have to go through that yet up here:eek: -
welcome! I know the moe group here in kingman, they do a lot of exploring especially around the north rim of the canyon / ariz strip area. Dan, the main man of the group is the unoffical historian of Mohave County so its always interesting and educational. hope to see you on the trail sometime:D

Nikon Coolpix L20 Point and Shoot Camera
stockjeep replied to dzJeepChic's topic in Photography & Videography
I went to buy another L20 at Wally World and they only carried the L24 so got one of them. we also us them at work and have real good luck with them. easy to use and down load pics etc. It would be nice to have one that bounces when dropped but so far I have dropped my old one several times and it keeps on working. someday I would like to get the ulta slim model thats about the size of a credit card and 1/2 thick so it fits in your pocket easier. i ende up paying $125 for it with a 4gb card. I especially like the fact u can use AA batteries it it. -
Accomodations We Do NOT Recommend!
stockjeep replied to dzJeepChic's topic in Trail Info & Other Destinations
we have stayed several times in the rv park because the group we went with always stayed there. the manager "Missy" was a little spun out. I can say we looked at the cabins and would have prefered staying in a tent. one fond memory is a baby crying all night next door, what a night! -
I have a similar set up in my cj. while weldig it seemed to pulsate, I was using 3/32 7018 rod so must be to heavy of rod and I'll try 6013. I carry small pieces of steel for misc repairs. I think you're on to a good idea since the under hood welder is out of reach for a lot of us.

U-Turn XJ/ZJ/TJ Replacement Tie Rod / Drag Link Kit
stockjeep replied to scottL's topic in Jeep Specific
I'm still odd man out with steering upgrades. I believe beefing up the tie rod and drag link are necessary with big tires, lockers however, Ive seen several pitman arms break and a couple of sector shafts break. bottom line is I have resisted the currie upgrade for example, because in theory the el cheapo oem part would crap out before major damage occurs. I would much rather change out a used $25 dollar tie rod or drag link then a steering box. I'm just an old fuddy duddy. But seriously, I've seen the wishbone type upgrade and the type shown in the pic and both seem to work good. For simplicity sake I believe the type of system shown would be the way to go. depends on your sponsors budget:D
