I still have the suburban, and recently completed a 4000+ miles tour from Tucson to Washington state and back over 28 days on the road. It was amazing and included touring the Basin and Range NM in NV, several California Trail routes in NV along the truckee and the blackrock desert playa, turning north to eastern Oregon wildlife refuges, and the Washington okanagan rivers and forests... then via the north cascades NP a costal return. No subaru but I do have a CX5 AWD for skiing (the annual ski safari).
