FYI: scan tools and code readers are to different things. Scan tools provide more information like readiness monitors and provide basic information for diagnostics (fuel trims, sensor voltage readings). Code readers do just that they retrieve codes and clear them. Just a warning before clearing codes you should make sure you solved the problem. By clearing the code you remove the "freeze frame" info that the cpu recorded when your code was thrown which can hinder your ability to diagnose the problem.

If you have a lot of vacation time for some week or longer trips they are a pretty good club. We left because we never had enough time off to go on the planned trips.

I would suggest that you get it tested by a mechanic prior to replacing it. It could be that the wiring to the sensor is damaged. You could also have a loose connector. I would also check with a dealer and see if their has been a recall, since it is a emissions related component it could still be covered.

Possible heads up - I am getting better (had a fever over the weekend and digestive issues along with it), though I am still a little sluggish. Mike, I am hoping is not getting it, but after this evening, I am starting to wonder. We will keep you posted on if we will make the run. We don't want to cancel, as we have had both of our gifts for this party since 2009! J
