dzJeepChic 2,897 Posted March 28, 2013 Found out today my appointment is at 10:45 not 8:45, so no way I can make it Thought about cancelling but they wanted me in same week the got the original results but that was a couple days after I landed at work, so need to go get the new blood work and be smart. Maybe we can do a quick overnighter somewhere the 3rd or 4th weekend of the month Sorry you can't go but health is more important. Wonder if I could catch up to you on the trail though, hmm.... Yeah, don't want to beat on it too bad. Still thinking of grabbing an XJ or older truck to beat on for this reason though. I updated the 1st post in this thread with a link to the State Trust Land Permit PDF download. We have run the Rug Road twice in the past when AZ State Trust Land Permit was not required. Now the rules have changed. Currently a permit is required to 'travel on trails or roads which cross State Trust Land' (used to be needed only if you camped on State Trust Land). Since it was our mistaken assumption that the regulations for State Trust Land hadn't changed, I looked into obtaining a group permit for this particular trip - to relieve everyone the burden of obtaining individual permits. But the requirements for the group permit are too many in such short notice. So, HEADS UP Everyone! You MUST obtain and Individual or Family State Trust Land Permit THIS WEEK in order to participate in this trip. Print, fill out and mail ASAP: http://www.azland.gov/programs/natural/recreation_permit.htm Alternately you may visit one of their offices, fill out the application, pay the fee and walk out with the permit.
