Curly 973 Posted March 10, 2013 Do we have a meet up time/itinerary yet? Will we need to carry extra fuel? I am coming down from the Verde Valley, looking at about a 4 hr drive, is fuel available near the start/finish? Thx Curly
6x6pinz 1 Posted March 10, 2013 We picked up fuel in Mammoth and topped off again in Thatcher. Most of the guys only have 20gallon fuel tanks and they did not have any issues at all. I think the average fuel consumption was around 7 gallons of fuel.

dzJeepChic 2,565 Posted March 11, 2013 sorry , but I am going to have to pull out of this one Dave, sorry you can't go - it's going to be good times! I added meet up info to the 1st post: Itinerary: Please be fueled up and packed ready for 2 days/nights out on the trail when you get to the meet up spot. There won't be any more chances to buy anything from that point. The Meet up map shows the route from Circle K in Mammoth (where we get gas) to the meet up spot. When we get off the trail Sunday at Klondyke Rd & Hwy 70, the nearest gasoline is either 7 miles south to the Minut Market in Pima or north 7 miles to Keen's Store/Cafe in Fort Thomas. MAP Meet: 1:00PM at the Shooting Range located on Copper Creek Rd East of River Rd in Mammoth, AZ MAP CB Channel: 4 Ham Frequency: 146.46 No permits are needed for this trip. Please bring firewood if you have room!
